Maritere De Jesús Aponte graduated from Sacred Heart University with a B.A. in General Communications with a minor in Psychology. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, graduating summa cum laude, and was admitted to the Puerto Rico Bar in 2014. During her time at law school, she served as a student law clerk for Hon. Edgardo Rivera García at Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. Ms. De Jesús Aponte has an LLM in Litigation and Alternative Methods to Resolutions of Disputes. She is also a Notary Public. De Jesús Aponte maintains a broad practice in government legal matters and provides legal advice to municipalities, agencies and public corporations in human resources, compliance issues and policy matters, developing strategies for effective liability mitigation, drafting contracts and development of rules and regulations. She has successfully represented employers in labor claims before Public Service Appeal Commission.
